Helen Haddad

Helen B. Haddad, 96, a lifelong resident of Rockford, died Friday, January 11, 2013 at Alden Park Strathmoor. Born July 29, 1916 the daughter of Malcom and Tyra (Johnson) Carlson and was a 1934 graduate of Central High School. Married her loving husband, Alexander Haddad in Rockford on February 20, 1937. Worked for several years in the produce department at Jewel Tea Company. Was active in the Girl Scouts, Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps and was a talented seamstress and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie Haddad of Cambridge, MA and Jackie Haddad of Rockford; grandchildren, Kate Olivier of Madrid, Spain, Sarah (David) Isenberg of Belmont, MA, Lisa (Rick) Jones of Juda, WI, Jeniffer Pearson of Rockford and Michael McDaniel (Andrew Sawicki)< of Chicago; great grandchildren, Corbin Pearson, Lilah Isenberg, Aurora LopezOlivier, Ryan and Aaron Jones; greatgreat grandchildren, Kaden and Marlee Jones; sister, Ruthie McCollum of Rockford; sistersinlaw, Nilda Joseph of Fresno, CA and Marie Haddad of Chicago and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents,
husband in 1988, granddaughter, Tiffney Koch and 2 sisters, Harriett Antinucci and Eleanor Bovi.

Memorial service Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Noon at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in lieu of flowers memorials to the family for a fund to be established at a later date.
