Hildegard Redshlag

Hildegard Thiede Redschlag, 81, Rockford, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012, in her home following a lengthy illness.
Hildegard was born March 23, 1931, in Boenhof (Kreiss Stuhm), West Prussia, the daughter of Paul and Klara (Adrian) Thiede.
She married Erwin Redschlag,Sr, of Karolinowka, Volhynia in Kassel, West Germany.
They celebrated their 53 rd anniversary before he passed away in 2008. Hildegard enjoyed sewing and doing needlepoint.

Survived by her children Erwin (Sandra) Redschlag, Jr. of Belvidere, Sylvia Redschlag of Black River Falls, WI, and Ingrid Nilsen of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Erik and Christopher Nilsen of Denver, CO and Monica (Paul) Petri of Fond du Lac, WI.
Predeceased by her husband Erwin, Sr., her parents, her sister,
Ruth Buchberger; brothers, Hans, Paul and Kurt Thiede.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 am, Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
Burial in Belvidere Cemetery.
Visitation from 10:30 am until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
