Imelda A. Jimenez

Imelda A. Jimenez, 66, of Machesney Park, IL passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 surrounded by family and friends. Imelda was born September 17, 1955 in the Philippines to Lorenzo and Fe (Aral) Jimenez. She grew up in the Philippines, obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy. Imelda went on to a fulfilling career as an Accounting professional and educator until 2012, before moving to America to pursue a new calling, becoming a Direct Support Professional, a vocation she cherished involving the care for children with special needs.
Imelda was a deeply religious member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, Church of Christ, where she held various duties in the Children’s Worship Service, Secretary and Finance Departments.
Imelda was a beautiful, strong-willed and thoughtful woman who selflessly shared her time to those in need. An adventurer at heart, she loved traveling and exploring new places. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Ferdinand (Laura) Jimenez, Carlito (May) Jimenez, Genaro (Timmy) Jimenez, Lorenz (Rose) Jimenez, Lottie (Benjie) Adalla; nieces and nephews, Gladys, Ronald, Miguel, Paolo, Camille, Jiko, Faye, Angelo; numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 from 5:00 – 9:00 pm CDT at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. and again on Saturday, September, 25, 2021 from 9:00 -11:00 am CDT. Burial to follow at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
