Ina J. Frantz

Ina J. Frantz, 94 of Rockford, died on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at P.A. Peterson. Born December 20, 1912 in Cherry Valley Township the daughter of Herman and Mary A. (Robinson) Hoffman. Married her loving husband Thomas C. Frantz on November 25, 1931 in Rockford. Ina is a charter member of Monroe Center Community Church where she was the pianist for the church and Sunday school.nbsp; She enjoyed ceramics and crafts and was involved as a youth group leader, the friendship circle, card club, sunshine club, PTA and the Owls camping group. She was wonderful with her children and especially loved being with her grand children, great grandchildren and her great-great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to P.A. Peterson and to Odyssey Hospice. Survivors include her children; Joyce (Jim) McKnight of Rockford, Dorothy (Jack) Evans of New Milford, Eileen (Harold) Alderks of Stillman Valley and Lyle (Marti) Frantz of Rockford; daughter-in-law Shirley Frantz-Bauwinkel of Pecatonica; 17 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; son Ralph Frantz; 3 grandchildren and 3 brothers. nbsp;Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Pastor Robert Mellon of Monroe Center Community Church officiating. Interment will be at Monroe Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday in the funeral home from 10-10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Monroe Center Community Church.
