Irving W. Kinsman

Irving W. ""Irv"" Kinsman, 89, of Rockford, died at 10:40 pm, Tuesday, July 17, 2007 in Springwood Nursing Home. Born June 26, 1918 in Mineral Point, WI, the son of Henry and Ellen (Butteris) Kinsman. He married Ruth Goninen on August 20, 1938 in Dubuque, IA. Veteran of WWII and charter member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Irving loved his country, and enjoyed golfing and traveling. Survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruth of Rockford; children, Keith Kinsman of Durand, IL, Linda (Louis) True of Cherry Valley, and Donald (Christine) Kinsman of Rockford; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; sister, Helen Johnson; brother, Harold Kinsman and grandson, Greg Kinsman. Memorial Service at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 20, 2007 in Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4055 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, with Reverend George David officiating. Interment in Scandinavian Cemetery at a later date. Visitation from 1:15 until service time at the church.
