Rockford - Jack Richard Huddleston, 84, passed away September 21, 2015 in Presence Saint Anne Center. Born August 1, 1931 in Blandinsville, IL, the son of Frank R. & Inez Jane (Conkey) Huddleston. Served in the US Air force during the Korean War. Married Mary Ellen “Pat” (Gannon) Didier on April 15, 1977, in Rockford. She predeceased him on May 16, 2006. He worked in construction connected jobs since 1948 until retiring in 2000. Member of carpenter’s local #792, member of A.F. & A.M, lodge #166, Scottish Rites & Tebala Temple. Member of the American Legion Walter Graham Post #332. Moose Lodge #163. Member of Central Christian Church in Rockford.
Survivors include children Kevin D. (Gaye Lynn) Huddleston, of Mission, Ks, Lynn I. Zippilli of Rockford, Il, Sara J. (Robert) Hoovler of Davis Junctions, Il, John R. (Kelly) Huddleston of Roscoe, Il; step children Thomas E. (Sandra) Didier of Rockford, Il, JoAnne K. (Gunner) Deery of Petoskey, Mi, Donald M. (Gina) Didier of Alpharetta, Ga, Patricia A. (Martin) Weightman of Rockford, IL, James G. Didier, Steven M. (Susan) Didier, David G. Didier, Charles A. (Linda) Didier all of Rockford, Il; sisters, Betty J. (James) McConoughey of Rockford, Il, and Carol (Albert) Steiner of Evanston, Il; 27 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by parents, wife, brothers Robert and Warren (Lillian) Huddleston of Mohamet, Il.; sister Maxine (Lyle) Stewart and beloved stepmother Mary.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, Il, with the Rev. Dr. Kevin D. Huddleston officiating. Private burial at Willwood Burial Park. Memorials may be made to Salvation Army Church or Shriner's Hospital for Children.
