Jacquelyn Rae Fenelon

Jacquelyn Rae (Zwiger) Fenelon, 84, of Rockford, passed away June 12, 2021 in her home. Born October 25, 1936 in Rockford, the daughter of Fred W. and Ruth E. (Jewell) Zwiger.

She married Roger E. Fenelon in Rockford on September 14, 1957. A graduate of the Swedish American School of Nursing, Jacquelyn retired from Riverside Medical Clinic/Physicians Immediate Care in 2000, after thirty two years of employment. She continued part-time employment with UDL until 2017. Jacquelyn was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She was a listening ear and pillar of strength for all that knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Kimberly (Ed) Justus, Jody (Sonny) Bryant and Thomas E. Fenelon; grandchildren, Andrew “Drew” and Colton “Cole” (Erin) Justus, Eric (Katie) and Kaitlyn Bryant and Jessica (Thomas) Cass; great-grandchildren, Ella, Austin and Addie Bryant, Sophie and Landon Cass and Logan Bauer; siblings, Fred Douglas (Renee) Zwiger, Gwen Cunningham and Merelyn (Frank) young; life-long friends, Irv and Joanne Stewart and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. Jacquelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roger in 2019 and brothers, William and Harold Dennis Zwiger.

Memorial Mass, 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at St. Bernadette Church, 2400 Bell Avenue, Rockford. Visitation, 8:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.
