James Allen Lindenberg

James Allen Lindenberg, age 64, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at UW Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. He was born on Aug. 27, 1948, the son of Allen and Sylvia (Black) Lindenberg. Jim married Mary Cunningham on Nov. 5, 1983, in Rockford, Illinois. He worked at Chrysler for more than 35 years until his retirement in 2001. Jim was an avid NASCAR fan; his favorite drivers were Matt Kenseth and Travis Kvapil. He loved going to many NASCAR races, including the Daytona 500 every year. Jim was also a Bears and White Sox fan. He was a loving husband and father, always willing to give a helping hand to everyone. Jim is survived by his wife, Mary Cunningham Lindenberg; children, Carrie (Shane Troyer) Lindenberg and Kevin Lindenberg; sister, Mary (Ross) Prior; brothers, Steve (Carol) Lindenberg and Greg (Kathy) Lindenberg; nephews, Derek Lindenberg, Andrew Lindenberg, and Lewis Prior; and nieces, Elana Prior and Sarah Lindenberg. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at FITZGERALD FUNERAL HOMEMULFORD CHAPEL, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois, at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012. Visitation will be held at the Fitgerald Funeral HomeMulford Chapel from 2 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established for Brain Cancer Research.
