Jane I. Stuttler

Jane I. Stuttler, 89, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on February 17, 2023. Born in Pleasant Lake, Indiana on August 7, 1933 daughter to Ralph Diehl and Beulah DeLong. Jane attended Angola High School in Indiana. Jane was honored to win the title of 1st runner up Miss. Indiana 1954 and the 1st runner up for the Tristate College Queen’s Court in 1952. On February 9, 1952 she married the love of her life, Robert Stuttler, and enjoyed 68 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in November of 2020. Jane was a faithful parishioner in Pleasant Lake, Indiana and in Rockford, Illinois; she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and singing in the church choir. After moving to Rockford, she worked in cosmetics at Marshall Fields for 10 years. She will be remembered for her generous, giving nature, her beautiful angelic face and, of course, her SPARKLE.

She will be missed by those who loved her most; her children Rita Stuttler, Gloria Stuttler, Joyce (Paul) Kaempfer, and Brad (Wayne Schermerhorn); her grandchildren Jeffrey Kaempfer, Keely (Robert) Muraski, and Ariana (Abel) Kiros; great-grandchildren Liam Kaempfer, Ryan and Rachel Muraski. Her granddaughter, Ariana, heartbreakingly and unexpectedly passed away a few short hours after Jane. She is predeceased by her husband; her daughter, Sheila Stuttler; her parents and stepfather Peter Crock; her brothers Vernon and Johnny Diehl.

A visitation will take place on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S.
