Janice G. Pope

Janice G. Pope, 69, of Loves Park, IL, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018.

Janice was born June 7, 1949 in Rockford, IL, daughter of Donald and Joyce (Parks) Hitzke. She graduated from Auburn High School, Class of 1967. Throughout most of her life, Janice was employed as a quality control supervisor in pharmacology. She enjoyed reading, traveling and shopping. Janice especially loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving relatives include her children, Chad (Cynthia) Pope and Christina (Kenneth) Scigulinsky; 2 grandchildren, Jackson and Owen Scigulinsky; 2 brothers, Donald (Sue) Hitzke and Steven (Brenda) Hitzke; 1 sister, Judy (Bill) Reagan. She is predeceased by her parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 600 N. Horsman Street, Rockford, IL 61101, with Pastor Frank Ciprys officiating. Private family inurnment will conclude at Willwood Cemetery.
