Jeanmarie Geraghty

Jeanmarie Heath Geraghty, 53 of Broomfield, CO passed away September 5, 2009 of cancer at Hospice Care in Louisville, CO, with her son Nathan, and his dog Oliver at her side. Born May 30, 1956 in Rockford, the daughter of Walter Robert "Bob" and Annemarie (Folden) Geraghty. Jean attended St. Bernadette Catholic School, Boylan Catholic High School and Rock Valley College. She worked for Atwood in Rockford before moving to Colorado 30 years ago. Jean is survived by her son, Nathan Levi Turowsky of Broomfield, CO; mother Ann Geraghty of Rockford; sister Cindy (Wayne) Winterfield of Dixon; uncle Joseph Geraghty and his son Joe (Jeanette) Geraghty of Rockford. Aunt Phyllis Geraghty of Florida and many cousins in Rockford, Colorado, Indiana, Florida and the Chicago area. Close friends Debbie Spillari, Paul Labarile and her beloved golden retrievers Jazmin and Cheyenne. She was predeceased by her father, paternal grandparents Joseph and Evelyn Geraghty and maternal grandparents Cecil and Lulu Folden. Aunts Rosemary Geraghty, Lucille Peltier and Norma Hallberg. Uncles Gerald Geraghty, Maynard Folden and Waynard Folden. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 11, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Randy Fronek officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, September 10, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. Friday until time of Mass in the church. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the International Myeloma Foundation.
