Jeffrey C. Foster

Jeffrey C. Foster, 66, of Rockford, passed away at his home surrounded by his wife and children on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Jeff was born in Williams Port, Pennsylvania on April 17, 1957, the son of Charles and Marion (Joslyn) Foster. He earned his bachelor’s degree from The University of Indiana Institute of Technology. Jeff married Kimberly R. Moline on August 24, 1985, in Rockford, IL. He worked for Woodward Governor for 40 dedicated years until he retired in 2022 as a computer engineer in IT and networking. Jeff attended services with his family at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church where he was in charge of running the outdoor food booth during Polish Fest for the last 20 years. He was a proud supporter of NPR and member of the Verdi Club, Lombardi Club and just recently joined the SM&SF Club with his wife. Jeff enjoyed spending his time programming, 3-D printing, fixing cars, wood working, loved to barbecue and was a fabulous cook. He was always up for a new challenge, loved board games and helping other people make their projects and ideas become a reality. Most of all, Jeff cherished his time spent with family and loved ones. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Kimberly R. Foster; children, Tiffany (Ian) Dunois, Fredrick (Jennifer) Foster, Marcus (Hennim) Foster, and Katherine (Nick) Troiola; grandchildren, Max, Isaac, Sophia, Jonah, Gianna, Philip, Stephen, Miriam, Martin, Sophia, and Adrianna; brothers, David Foster, and Douglas (Janet) Foster; sister, Joyce (David) Paterson and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jeff is predeceased by his parents and his daughter, Margaret “Emily” Foster Skridla.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 10:00 am until time of a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. The burial will conclude in Arlington Memorial Park, Rockford, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Foster family for a monument in his honor to be established later.
