Jennie M. Arbisi Terranova, 93, lifelong Rockford resident, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in River Bluff Nursing Home. Born September 5, 1919, daughter of Jasper and Lucy Arbisi. She was married to Sam R. Terranova in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on July 26, 1941. In the late 1930s she worked for the National Youth Administration at the old Post Office. Over the years she worked in several shops, eventually retiring from Testors Corp. Following retirement she worked five more years for Bergners Distribution Center. Jennie served 40 years as a Democratic Judge and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Bernadette Church, former member of St. Anthony Church and had been treasurer of the St. Joseph chapter of NAIM. She enjoyed bowling with the Monday Nite Ladies and the Super Seniors on Wednesday afternoon as well as being an avid card player.Survivors include her sons, Richard, Rockford and Louis (Karen), Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Marc Terranova, Chicago, Christopher Foltz, Chicago, Tanya Terranova, Tucson, AZ and Jason Sheals, Tucson; greatgrandson Aiden Terranova; brothers, Lawrence Arbisi, Escondido, CA, Joe (Rosalie) Arbisi, Rockord; sister, Mary Guagliardo, Anaheim, CA, sistersinlaw, Bernice Terranova, Rockford , Cynthia Arbisi, Minnesota and numerous nephews, nieces and great nephews and greatnieces. Predeceased by her parents, her husband Sam, daughter, Theresa; grandson, Christopher Terranova; brothers, Rosario, Tony, Dominic, Paul and sisterinlaw, Lily Tartaglia. Jennie would like to say a special thankyou to her niece Karen Gugliuzza for her care and concern"youre an angel" . Also a thankyou to her nurses and CNAs at River Bluff,for their care, and to all of the friends that she made and enjoyed there. She was still a Cubs fan and spent her life making her family happy with her mostaccoli and meat balls and their favorite pizza.Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013 in St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 9 a.m. until time of the Mass at the church on Saturday. Arrangements were completed by Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N.
