Jerome J. Didier, 73 of Rockford entered into Heaven Thursday, December 20, 2012.
Born
March 19, 1939 in Rockford, son of George and Angeline Didier.
Married Joan Walsh at St. Marys Church in Durand, IL on October 5, 1963.
Jerome was a devoted, loving husband to Joan for 49 years.
He was part owner of Didier Greenhouses, which his family began in 1939 and continues to thrive today.
He loved his family and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.
He was a spiritual man and through his faith was an inspiration to many.
He was a long time, active member of St. Patricks Church.
He served in the army reserves for six years, was a volunteer firefighter for 20 years, and served on the Winnebago County Drainage Commission for many years.nbsp;nbsp; He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and gardening.


Survivors include his wife Joan; children Matthew (Sara) Didier, Michele (Kevin) OHara, Jacqueline (Joel) Stone, Andrew (Deanna) Didier; five cherished grandchildren Amanda, Jacob, Stephanie, Olivia and Aiden; siblings
Ed, Jack, Honey and Bill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Angeline; and siblings Charlotte, George, and Larry.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church 2330 Bell Ave. Visitation will be from 4:00 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel 3910 N. Rockton Ave., with recitation of the Rosary at 7:30. Visitation will also be held from 9:00 until the time of Mass on Thursday at Church. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Poor Clares Corpus Christi Monastery, 2111 N. Main St or to The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation 5526 West 13400 South, No.510 nbsp;Salt Lake City, Utah 84096.
