Jerome M. Mitchell, 75, Rockford, died at 11:30m a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in Amberwood Care Center.nbsp; Born April 7, 1937 in Chicago, son of Maurice and Christine (Welter) Mitchell.nbsp; Veteran of the US Army and former member of the Cathedral of St. Peter. nbsp;He was employed by Sjostrom amp; Sons Construction Company for many years.nbsp; Survivors include his sisterinlaw, Dorothy Mitchell, Prospect Heights.nbsp; Predeceased by his parents and brothers, Thomas and Warren Mitchell.

Private services will be held with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Hayward, WI.nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Passages Hospice, 929 S. Alpine Road, Rockford, IL 61108.nbsp; The family was assisted by Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
