JoAnn C. Lucido Beloved wife, sister, and friend to many. Rockford- JoAnn C. Lucido, 75, of Rockford died 2:10 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, as a result of diabetes from which she had been battling since her early childhood. Born September 9, 1933 in Rockford; the daughter of Joseph & Gwendolyn (Olson) Jocson. She graduated from West High School. Married Victor "Vic" Lucido in Joliet, IL on May 7, 1956. JoAnn worked many years as a personal teller for local banks and worked part time at Stones Hallmark. She was a Pink Lady at Rockford Memorial. She enjoyed gardening, making floral arrangements, swimming, painting, and most of all JoAnn enjoyed making the holidays special for family and close friends. JoAnn was always cheerful and thoughtful of others. She was a friend to many and the backbone of the family. She will truly be missed. Survivors include her husband Vic; sisters Patricia Gibbs, Dorothy Neal, and Dee Dee Fredrickson; sisters in law Cecelia Lazzerini and Sandra Jocson; brother in law John (Marcia) Lucido; numerous nieces and nephews and very special friend Ruth Vanderwall. She is preceded in death by infant daughter Julie Ann, parents, brothers Edward and Gerald; and sister Marilyn Jocson. The Funeral Mass will be offered by Father Pantyra at 10 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2009 at St. Edwards Catholic Church. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel. 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108 with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Also from 9 a.m. 9:45 a.m. at the church on Friday. Entombment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
