John H. Danuk

November 3, 1997 — January 24, 2023

John Harley Danuk was born in Elgin, Illinois on November 3, 1997, to David Danuk and Brenda Murphy. He left the world much too soon on January 24, 2023, at the age of 25. He leaves behind so many that loved him.

John lived his life knowing that it is too short. He loved fast cars, motorcycles, and indulging in life’s finer things. He was an avid Cubs and Blackhawks fan, with tattoos of both. John adored being an uncle and looked forward to days he was able to spend with family and friends the most.

As a passionate entrepreneur, John was determined in all that he did and always had a plan for tomorrow. His perseverance and strength were unmatched, his goals unwavering. He was as strong-willed and passionate for his dreams as he was for those who dreamt around him.

John will forever exist in all who met him, as he was the best brother... the best friend... and the best son that anyone could have asked for.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Westwood Tavern, the Chicago room, 1385 N. Meacham Road Schaumburg, IL 60173, as John would have hated the shoes most would wear to a funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by bringing a pair of sneakers to be donated via the John Danuk Foundation. John was starting this foundation to give a piece of hope and happiness to youths in the care of the state child welfare system and youths who have been removed from their homes for reasons of abuse or neglect. We hope to carry on his legacy of love and generosity to those in need.
