John "J.W" S. Williamson, 79 Rockford John "J.W." S. Williamson, 79 of Rockford died Friday, October 16, 2009 at 2:55 a.m. at home. Born November 1, 1929 in Blytheville, Arkansas to John and Susie (ONeil) Williamson. John served in the US Army during the Korean War. Married Louise Cline on August 6, 1955 in Blytheville, Arkansas. Worked as a Machine Operator at Mechanic for Rockford Power Train retiring in 1991. John was an avid fisherman enjoyed wood working, billiards, a Huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and Jeff Gordon fan. He also loved to attend his grandchildrens sporting events. Survivors include; his wife Louise, children; Johnny (Karen) Williamson and Pam (Greg) Davis, Grandchildren; Jennifer (Kenneth) Anderson, Michael (Carly) Williamson, Marissa (Matt) Nyberg, Kristin Davis, Joe Davis; 3 great-grandchildren; brother Max (Beth) Williamson of Arkansas; sisters, Nancy (Denny) Boff, of Florida and Joyce (Tommy) Jackson of Arkansas. Predeceased by his parents, brother and sister and one infant son. Funeral Service 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (Mulford Chapel) 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Pastor Greg Whitaker officiating. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family.
