John Vitale

John A. Vitale, 71, of Rockford passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.nbsp; John was born June 24, 1940 in Rockford, the son of John and Angelina Vitale.nbsp; He married Marcia Novak in Rockford on August 26, 1961, they celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary this past year.nbsp; John worked as an educator and coachnbsp;in Rockford for many years including, Boylan, West High School and Rock Valley College.nbsp; He also owned Rockford Mat Company.nbsp; When John lived away from Rockford he worked as anbsp;Rural Mail Carrier with the USPSnbsp;and spent time working at the Bait Shop in Clearwater, Florida.nbsp; John was a member of St Bernadette Church.nbsp; He graduated from St Thomas in 1958.

Survivors include his wife Marcia;nbsp;their three children: Andrew John Andy (Brian Spicer) Vitale of Loves Park, Elizabeth Eve(James) VitaleHouseman of Georgia andnbsp;John Francis (Jennifer Goolsby) of California;nbsp; his mother, Angelina of Rockford;nbsp; sister Joanne (Frank) Decastris of Rockford;nbsp;brothers, Eugene (Sandy) Vitale of Ringwood, IL and Gerald Jerry (Pat) Vitale of Pennsylvania.nbsp;Sweetie will miss her papa.nbsp;Predeceased by his father, John.
