Johnnie L Thomas

Johnnie L. Thomas, 79, of Rockford, passed away July 6, 2020 at Swedish American Hospital. Born September 27, 1940 in Mount Holly, Ark, the son of Matthew & Tommy (L. (Chitman) Thomas. He own and operated Thomas Auto Polish for many years. Married India Sims, and have been together for over 47 years. He has a passion for cars, and was known for being an entrepreneur.
Survivors include wife India; stepchildren Rick and Michael; grandchildren Denisha and Tiara Thomas; great-grandchildren, Jahnai, Amya, Armani, Myyon, Elijah and Deryon; brothers, Parnell (Virginia) Thomas and Aaron (Kim) Thomas; sister Carolyn Butler, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, daughter, Carla Thomas; five brother and two sisters.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff, especillay nurse Christen, of Swedish American Hospital for all their care and support.
