Joseph A. Avendano

March 8, 1959 — August 31, 2021

Joseph A. Avendano, 62, of Machesney Park passed away Tuesday August 31, 2021. He was born March 8, 1959, in Rockford, the son of Antonio and Ella (Medina) Avendano, Sr.

Joe had a lifelong Catholic faith, attending St. Anthony Grade School and graduating from Boylan High School, Class of 1977. He married Cindi Keip in 1989 at Holy Family Catholic Church, and became a member at that church. Joe enjoyed listening to music of all types, going to concerts and watching movies. He loved sports, especially the Green Bay Packers and being a Packers Season Ticket Holder for over 30 years. He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan & Boston Celtic fan. Joe and Cindi enjoyed many day and weekend trips, especially foodie trips that they saw on TV. And 2 trips to Disney World that were great memories with family. Joe was also an animal lover, especially of his fur baby cats, Parker and Diablo. He will miss talking & joking around with all his friends--especially his work family at Ultra Stamping. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Cindi of Machesney Park; brother, Antonio Avendano Jr. of Rockford; sister, Mary (Chuck) Kittoe of Rockford, in-laws Jim & Doreen Keip of Roscoe, John Keip of Machesney Park, and Patricia & Patrick Pearse of Rockton. He loved all his family so much--especially all the wonderful nephews & nieces and numerous aunts/uncles/cousins.

Special thank you to Dr. Edison Lim for many years of care and friendship and to OSF Hospice for getting us through his last day so peacefully.
