Joseph I. Bosi

Joseph Bosi, 88, of Rockford passed away June 19, 2013 at Swedish American Heart Hospital. Joe was born on April 12, 1925 in Ladd, Illinois to Nick and Mary Ann Bosi. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Air Force. He graduated from the University of Illinois after returning from the war. Joe married Dorothy Marzorati on September 27, 1947. He founded and owned two cylinder manufacturing companies, C & C Mfg and Rockford Air Devices. He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading and working in his yard.
Joe is lovingly survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Susan (Dan) Wecker of Farmington Hills, Michigan; son, Scott (Laura) Bosi of Rockford; grandchildren, Jennifer and Nicholas Wecker, Benjamin and Jacob Bosi; sisters, Dorothy Scheib of Kansas City, Missouri and Frances (Mickey) Eversole of Rockford and numerous nieces and nephews. Predecease by his parents and brother, Frank.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Avenue. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
