Joseph "Joe" Edward Baran

Joseph Edward Baran, 93, passed away in Rockford, Illinois on January 1, 2023. Born in Chicago on October 29, 1929 son to Joseph and Mary (Dolman) Baran, Joe went on to marry the love of his life, Antoinette Trentadue in Chicago, Illinois in 1957. In 1972 he was transferred for work to Rockford, where they established their lives in the community. Joe worked for Rockwell International until 1989 when he retired. Joe and Antoinette were long time parishioners to Holy Family Catholic Church, and enjoyed living part time in Fountain Hills, Arizona. In his free time when he was younger, he enjoyed a good game of tennis or golf, enjoyed watching sports, cruises, or spending time with friends. Later in life he enjoyed all the good quality time with his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by those who loved him most, his wife of 65 years, Antoinette; his children Mary (José) Alvarado, Joseph Baran, and William (Kristy) Baran; his grandchildren Alejandro Alvarado, Derek (Rhi) Letsinger and Daniel (Lauren Dippel) Letsinger. He is predeceased by his parents, twin brother Robert, and his sister Dorothy Froehlich.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service, 11:00 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road, Rockford, Illinois 61107.
