Juanita Cruz

Juanita (nee Ruiz) Cruz, 89, of Rockford, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 30, 2018 at 12:20 a.m. surrounded by family. Born September 16, 1928 in Rincon, Puerto Rico; she was the daughter of Fundador and Maria (de Los Angeles) Ruiz. She married Juan B. Cruz on June 20, 1949 in Puerto Rico.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Jonny, Maria, Wilfredo, Doris, Edwin, Awilda, David; 19 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan “Benjamin” Cruz; her parents, Fundador and Maria (de Los Angeles) Ruiz.
Funeral Service 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford. Visitation 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial in Eden Cemetery, Eden Cemetery, 9851 W. Irving Park Road, Schiller Park.
