Judith "Judy" G. Fink

Judith “Judy” G. Fink, 81, of Durand, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Javon Bea Hospital. She was born April 19, 1940, in Elmhurst, Illinois, the daughter of Francis DeVeirman and Elizabeth Hurlbut. She is a graduate of York High School, class of 1958. She met her life long companion, Gordan Yates in 1986, in Rockford. She worked as a window dresser for the Thrifty Boutique. Judy enjoyed her fancy sequin hats, riding mopeds, camping with her family, looming where she liked to make doilies and placemats, pontoon boating, and rearranging her furniture. She was a generous, good hearted, caring mother who held her family together.
Judy is survived by her children, Merrilee Fink, Michael (Jennifer) Fink, David (Christine) Fink, Michelle (Adrian) Cortinas and Dawn (Brian) Kersey; grandchildren, Heather Folkerts, Kaden Fink, Lisa Cortinas, Adrian Cortinas Jr, Katie Fink, Nathan Kersey, Emaly Kersy, Zach (Alexis) Kersey, and Rachel Maestas; great grandchildren, Noah Shelby, Penelope Lee, Esther Lane, Isaiah Maestas, Cameron Maestas, Zariah Kersey, and Abraham Kersey; special friend and neighbor, Joe. She is predeceased by her parents, lifelong partner, Gordon, children, Margo Fink and Greg Fink, and brother, Michael DeVeirman.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108.
