June M. Geen, 84 Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother June M. Geen, 84 of Rockford and formerly of Sarasota, FL, died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born June 23, 1923 in Chicago, daughter of Daniel and Amy (Johnson) ODay. Married her loving husband Robert Geen on March 25, 1944. Was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Sarasota, FL. June was an avid party planner who enjoyed golfing, painting ceramics and doing crafts. She was the Social Chairperson for several events at the Itasca Country Club and Sunrise Golf Club in Sarasota, FL. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the ICU at St. Anthonys. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Bob; her sons, Tom (Colette) Geen of Rockford, Bill (Pam) Geen of Oxford, WI and David (Jane) Geen of Highland, MI; grandchildren, Julie Marie (Darnell) Geen-Holloway, Joey Geen, Jessica Geen-Perone and Tommy Gene; great grandchildren, Jasmine and D.J. Holloway and LilyAnn Perone; loving relatives, Shirley (Dick) Daugherty and Warren "Bud" (Sylvia) Lauridsen. Preceded in death by her parents. Memorial service Sunday, January 20, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Visitation from 11-12:45 in the funeral home Sunday.
