Kathleen Budd

Kathleen G. Budd, 85, of Rockford, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 in Morning Star Village with family by her side.nbsp; She was born December 14, 1926 in Erie, PA, the daughter of Sylvester and Gertrude Malthaner.nbsp; She married Everett Wade Budd on June 30, 1951.nbsp; Everett predeceased her in 2003.nbsp; Kathleen started work in the Diocese of Rockford as secretary tonbsp;Bishop Boylan. She also worked for Joseph Behr before spending over 20 years at Goldie Floberg Center for Children, functioning as office manager and assistant to the Executive Director.nbsp; She was a long time member of Holy Family Catholic Church.nbsp; Her hobbies included playing bridge with her dear friends from bridge club and, in her younger years, playingnbsp;golf in thenbsp;ParTee group at Sandy Hollow Golf Course.nbsp;Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren and was looking forward to the upcoming births of her first greatgrandchildren.

Survivors include her four children, Carolyn Budd (Pat Mahoney) of Chicago, Paula (Gene) Mera of Rockford, Martha (Jerrold) Marion of Rockton and Thomas (Melissa) Budd of Rockford.nbsp; Grandchildren, Jessica Barr, Christopher, Alexander (Amanda) and Peter Mera, Theresa (Jack) Nethery, David and Rebecca Marion, Samuel, Abigail and Adam Budd.nbsp; Brothers, Donald (Minta) Malthaner of Florida, Thomas Malthaner of Arizona. Sister, MaryAnn Mulcahey of Rockford.nbsp; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.nbsp; Predeceased by her parents and husband.

Funeral Mass at 11am on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in Holy Family Catholic Church.nbsp; Burial in Calvary Cemetery.nbsp; Visitation from 5pm until 7pm Tuesday, January 10, 2011 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home Chapel, 1860 S.
