Kathleen M. Murray

Kathleen M. Murray, 58, Rockford, died peacefully Friday, June 14, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore, IL. Born August 18, 1954 in Rockford, daughter of Donald W. and Junella M. (Vonck)Cavanagh. Graduated from Boylan High School in 1972. Married Michael A. Murray in St. Bernadette Church on October 15, 1977. She was employed as a systems analyst for Rockford Health Systems for 30 years. Kathy loved dogs and always looked forward to going up north fishing every year. She had a keen mind that was exhibited by her love of reading, doing cross-word puzzles and playing Words With Friends. Survivors include her husband, Michael; daughter, Katie (KT Prather) Murray; sisters, Lynn Luethje and Mary Spate; brother, Dennis (Connie) Cavanagh, numerous nieces and nephews and her dog Millie. Predeceased by her parents. A Memorial Service to honor Kathy’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her family. The family was assisted by Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave.
