Kevin J. Maher

Kevin J. Maher, 47, died on Sunday, October 9, 2022 in his home. Born January 10, 1975 in Silver Spring, MD, son of John J. Maher and Peggi A. Dixon Maher. Graduated from Guilford High School and attended the University of Illinois and Kansas University. Kevin was a workaholic who had been employed by NAPA Auto Parts Distributors for many years. He was an intelligent man who was a voracious reader. He was a dedicated, loyal son, brother and friend whose generous heart reached out to his family and friends.

Survivors include his mother, Peggi Maher; brother, Brendan A. (Pam) Maher; nieces, Colleen Maher and Caitlin Maher; nephew, Ryan Maher; aunts, Maureen Ryan and Judy Dixon and cousin, Liam Dixon. Predeceased by his father, John J. Maher, grandparents, uncles, Patrick Dixon and Timothy Dixon and cousin, Sean Dixon.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2022 in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road Rockford, IL 61107. Burial will take place in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Swedish American Heart Institute, 1340 Charles Street, Ste. 300, Rockford, IL 61104.
