Kim Linh Singmouangthong

Kim Singmouangthong, 41, Rockford, died Friday, January 21, 2022 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Rockford, Illinois, on April 18, 1980, the daughter of Michael and Loan Doyle. Kim met Peter Singmouangthong when they were 14 years old and married her high school sweetheart on July 19, 2005. She earned her double Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Columbia College (2015) and was employed at Mercy Health for 8 years. Kim dedicated her life to her family; she loved playing tennis since her youth, watching football, and traveled to numerous destinations in the U.S. and globally. She enjoyed playing piano and did crafting such as home decorating and painting.

Kim is survived by her husband, Peter, and 3 children, Jasmina, Ethan, and Emma; mother & father, Loan and Michael Doyle; father-in-law Vanh Singmouangthong; brother Sean Doyle (Jessica) and sister, Nichole (Scott) Matthews; her brother-in-law, Tee Singmouangthong (Alicia); many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; she is predeceased by her step-father, Ba Hoang Nguyen and mother-in-law, Siamphone Singmouangthong.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108. Celebration of life will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the funeral home.
