Kyla Ounnaraj

Kyla Ounnaraj, 70, of Rockford, passed away April 30, 2019 in his home. Born September 3, 1948 in Banh Na Pang Noi, Kong Xedone, Salavanh Provence, Laos; the son of Oune and Pung Ounnaraj.
A giver at heart, Kyla was one of the founding members of the Lao Buddhist Community. He was also the local community handy man, helping anyone in need.
Kyla enjoyed fishing and anything outdoors. He also enjoyed learning new skills and spending time with his family and friends here in the U. S. and communicating via telephone and social media with family overseas in Laos.
Survivors include his children, Soupha Sunasith, Phentha Ounnaraj and Phouthaluk Ounnaraj; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; sisters Lai and Lauth; brothers, Mok and Chai; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings.
