Leroy Frickson

LeRoy Frickson, 72, of Madison, formerly of Rockford, Ill., passed away Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, in Madison. Born Sept. 20, 1937, in Adeline, the son of Harold Frickson and Emma Christen. He married Marianna Willey on April 1, 1961, and later married Catherine Scandroli. LeRoy was a commercial roofer for Carlson Roofing for more than 40 years. He enjoyed collecting coins, spending time with family and especially looked forward to going out with his kids to have breakfast together. He really enjoyed cooking some of his favorite recipes and loved telling stories about his fishing trips. LeRoy is survived by his children, Ashley (Kyle) Pekul of Cottage Grove, Neal Frickson of Whitewater and Dawne (Don) Pafford of Chicago; daughter-in-law, Karin Frickson of Flagstaff, Ariz.; siblings, Donald Frickson, Joan (Wayne) Fry, Leonard (Kelly) Lundquist, Dennis Frickson; and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; and son, Leonard Frickson. A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
