Lillian Joy

Lillian Joy, 93 of Rockford died Monday, October 8, 2012 in Brownsburg, IN. Born Dec. 25, 1918 in Rockford the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (LaSalla) Guarino. Graduated from Central High School in 1936 and went on to marry her loving husband William I. Joy on February 12, 1955. Worked for 24 years at Coopers and Lybrand, retiring in 1981. Lillian was currently living in Brownsburg, IN and was a member of St. Malachy Church. Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn D. Joy of Gurnee and Patricia (Richard) Faust of Brownsburg, IN; grandchildren, Bryan (Sabrina) Faust, Bradley (Sara) Faust and Brandy (Kevin) Loviscek all of Brownsburg, IN; great grandchildren, Joshua, Kobe, MacKenzie, Alexis and Ava; brothers, Sam (Geri) Guarino and Jay (Anita) Guarino both of Rockford; sisterinlaw, Violet Joy of Muskego, WI and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, brother, Nick Guarino; sister, Josephine Baldridge and niece, Kathleen Farr. Funeral Mass Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Burial to be held in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in her name to Womanspace, 3333 Maria Linden Drive Rockford, IL 61114. Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel is assisting the family.
