Linda Mae Jacobsen

Linda Mae Jacobsen, 62, Rockford, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, with her husband, her daughter, and her niece by her side. She was born September 29, 1955, in Rockford, the daughter of Paul and Jean (Mitchell) Block. She was a graduate of Rockford West High School, class of 1973. Linda married Arne Jacobsen in Rockford on June 30, 1979. She worked at Rockford Mutual for thirty-two years and worked part time at Kohl’s in Rockford. Linda also worked in customer service at Alpine Bank for a short time. Linda was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Survived by her husband, Arne; her daughter, Andrea Jacobsen of Denver, CO and her step-son, Kaare (Carrie) Jacobsen of Pecatonica; her grandchildren, Xander Jacobsen and Jake and Austin Taylor; her brothers, Doug (Chris) Block, Fred (Sherry) Block, both of Rockford and Paul (Cheryl) Block, Jr. of Romeoville; her sisters, Sharon Lund and Cindy (John) Hildebrand, both of Rockford; her brother-in-law, John Girone; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents and her sister, Debbie Girone.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, 61108, with the Reverend Dr. Joe Marek officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 5:30 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
