Lois J. Dugo, 89, of Rockford, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center. Born November 12, 1923, in Deerfield, Lois was the daughter of John C. and Emma J. (Hagie) Ott. She graduated from Highland Park High School in Highland Park, Illinois. Lois married Vincent Dugo in Iowa on September 27, 1941; he predeceased her on December 9, 2002. She was a secretary for two years during World War II in downtown Chicago. Lois enjoyed bowling on leagues and cross stitching. She collected crystal and loved traveling on cruises. She was an avid participant in the senior clubs of Rockford. Survived by her daughter, Joan (Joseph) Idstein of Libertyville; son, Jim Dugo of Rockford; grandchildren, Joseph (Dorothy) Idstein of Arlington Heights, David Scott of Sterling Heights, MI, Anthony Scott of Cape Coral, FL, Jillian Idstein of Chicago, Michael Dugo of Vancouver, WA and Nicklaus (Emily) Dugo, Indianapolis, IN; great-grandchildren, John Dugo and numerous nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her parents, daughter, Jean, siblings, Eleanor Johnson, Elsie Nelson, John Ott, Anna Wacholder, Bessie Thompson and Ethel Wacholder and a sister in childhood, Mabel Ott. Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
