Lois Lorraine Gipson

Lois Lorraine Gipson, 98, Rockford, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014, at the Grand Victorian in Rockford. She was born April 17, 1916, in Red Cloud, Nebraska, the daughter of Clarence and Myrtle (Woodward) Bailey. Lois married Clyde E. Gipson on December 23, 1939. He passed away on November 25, 2000.
Survived by her son Thomas Gipson, Sr.; her grandchildren, Brett Gipson, Thomas Gipson, Jr., and Tina Gipson; her nieces and nephew, Sally Veit, Peggy Staman, Pennie Bartlett, and Richard (Alma) Hoel; and her brother-in-law, Howard Gipson. Predeceased by her husband, her sister, Vivian Berryman and her nephew, Russell Gipson.
Memorial services will be at 11 A.M., Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford with Reverend Richard Wang officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery at a later date.
