Lorraine M. Lyons

Lorraine M. Lyons, 90, of Machesney Park, died Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Presence Saint Anne Center. Born, December 3, 1925 in Rockford the daughter of Gilbert and Alma (McBride) Phelan. Graduated from Bishop Muldoon High School and married her loving husband Joseph L. Lyons on August 25, 1951. Worked for Rockford Mercantile as a bill collector for many years until her retirement. A faithful member of St. Bridget Church, a wonderful mother and grandmother and a true friend to many. Survivors include her daughters, Linda (David) Watts and Diane Bosley; son, Michael (Debbie) Lyons; grandchildren, Teresa (Marcus) Cicciu and Kristen Lyons; great granddaughter, Gianna Cicciu and nephews, Larry Short, Kevin Phelan and Bryan Phelan. Preceded in death by her husband in 1992; her parents; brother, Frank Phelan; daughter, Denise Lyons and son-in-law, Jeremy Bosley.
Funeral Mass Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave, Loves Park, IL. A private inurnment will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
