Lucille M. Fountain, 93 Loving Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Aunt Lucille M. (Brummett) Fountain, 93, Rockford, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013 in Neighbors Rehabilitation Center, Byron. Born June 12, 1920 in New Madrid, MO, daughter of Edgar D. and Clara M. Tillett Brummett. She was employed by General Electric for many years. Lucille was a very strong willed woman with a sense of class. Avid dog lover. She lived simply and loved her family above everything else. Survivors include her daughter, Katherine Clarke; son, James Edgar (Vickie) Ferrell; son-in-law, Clarence “Dodo” Holmes; grandchildren, Duke and Brian (Becky) Holmes, Brock VerKuilen, Cindy (Keith) Bowman, B.J. (Elisha) Ferrell, Kelly (Darrell) Hanks; great-grandchildren, Emily and Derek Holmes, Carson and Preston Holmes, Elliott and Cassidy VerKuilen, Corey (Amy) Bowman, Caitlyn Jo Bowman, Ashley and Austin Ferrell, Dylan and Landon Hanks; great-great grandson, Chase Bowman and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husbands, Jack Ferrell and Alfred Fountain, parents; daughters, Mary, who died in infancy, and Caroline Holmes; son, Charles Ferrell and brothers, William, Charles and John Brummett. Lucille’s family would like to thank the staffs of Visiting Nurses Association, Lutheran Social Services of Illinois, Neighbors Rehabilitation Center and Passages Hospice for the loving and compassionate care given to her. A time of visitation to honor Lucille’s life will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
