Maralyn R Kloweit, 78, Rockford, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016, in the Villas at P.A. Peterson. She was born on October 16, 1937 in Cresco, IA, the daughter of Alaster and Alice (Warren) Robertson. She was a graduate of Rockford East High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Drake University. She married Roy Kloweit in Rockford on November 4, 1961. She worked as an administrative secretary at Greater Rockford Airport Authority for many years. She was loved by all who knew her and gave love in return. She was a great wife, loving and supportive mother, grandmother, sister, godmother, aunt, and friend. She had a witty humor, an infectious smile and a willingness to help anyone who needed help. She enjoyed travel all over the world including throughout Europe, Ireland, Scotland (very proud to see family heritage) Japan and many other places both within the country and abroad. At home she enjoyed gardening, going for long walks, collecting Christmas ornaments and meeting friends for lunch and the morning group at McDonalds. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, she was very proud of them. The family would like to thank Dr. James Woodman and staff. And all the staff at the Heart Hospital at SWA 3rd floor.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Roy, her sons, Jeff(Sarah) Kloweit and James(Rebecca) Kloweit, both of Rockford, her grandchildren, Tyler, Samuel and Darby Kloweit, her twin sister Maradene Davidson of Rockford, Judith Havnen of Ft. Collins CO., Helen(Don) Schaefer of Noblesville, IN, James Robertson and Beverly Sullivan of Rockford, Sharon(Joel) Sjostrom of Rockford, her sister in law Nancy Robertson Novak and brother in law Milt Aaby.Her brother in law and sister in law, Ken(Jan)Kloweit, many nieces and nephews, many special friends including Pat Seddon and Joan Ohlen. Maralyn was predeceased by her parents Al and Alice(Warren) Robertson, her brothers,Warren and D.William Robertson, sister Karen Aaby, sisters in law, Joan Robertson and Susan Robertson, brothers in law, Ralph Davidson and John Havnen.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 5, 2016, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, with Reverend Janet Wold officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 4, 2016, at the funeral home and from 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Friday.
