Marcia Woods

Marcia Woods, 65, of Cypress, TX and formerly of Rockford died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at North Cypress Medical Center. Born Feb. 23, 1951, the daughter of Robert Weaver and Vivian (Owens) Weaver-Gifford. Married her loving husband, Michael Woods, and together they raised 6 beautiful daughters. She worked for J.L. Clark for many years and also worked as a receptionist at Rosecrance for some time. Marcia was an avid reader and always cherished her time with family. After moving to Texas she called and FaceTimed her family every moment she could, as they were her heart and soul and she missed them dearly. Her unconditional love and kind and caring ways will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; daughters, Jennifer (Tim) Jackson, Julie Hammack, Jeanine (Nick) Fadness, Nicole (Dan) Koblesky, Renee Woods and Rachel (Keith) Dewitt; grandchildren, Lauren, Alyssa, Olivia, Alexis, Jordan, Kya, Preston, Anthony, Austin, Lucas and Andrew; great grandchildren, Xavier, Abrianna and Aiden; step-father, Harold Gifford; sister, Wendy (Bill) Scott, sisters-in-law, Jan Thomas, Diane Harris and Sandy Poli and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her Mother and Father and brother, Michael Weaver.
Funeral service Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 3555 McFarland Rd. with Rev. Pam Rossmiller officiating. Visitation Wednesday, Sept. 7 from 5-8 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. and continues on Thursday at church from 10 a.m. until time of service.
