Born June 3, 1928 in Davis Junction; the daughter of Robert E. Lamont and Ina Lindquist. Married Herb Streed on October 28, 1950 at Zion Lutheran Church in Rockford. Jean attended Robert Jones University and was a member of New Milford United Methodist ChurchSurvivors include her husband, Herb; children, David (Mimi) Streed of Rockford, Mary Schumacher of Cherry Valley, Dale (Mary Jeanne) Streed of Belvidere and Daryl (Teresa) Streed of Caledonia; grandchildren, Sarah and Dan Streed, Chris Wagner, Tracy (Matt) Pelland, Melissa and Jonathan Lee, Dean and Daryn Streed and Brandon and Dylan Streed; great-grandchildren, Naomi, Isaac and Nile Pelland and Collin Maleski; siblings, James Lamont, Delbert (Sara) Lamont, Edith (Chuck) Wheeler, Janet (Richard) Swenson, Robert M. (Gyneth) Lamont and Judy (Vic) Zoellick; sister-in-law, Janice Lamont and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; brother, Boyd Lamont and an infant son, Daniel.Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2010 at New Milford United Methodist Church, 7102 Cindy Dr. Rockford IL with Reverend Megan A. Smick officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2010 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108 and also from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the church. To
