Margaret Ann ""Peg"" Sorrel, 63 Margaret Ann ""Peg"" Sorrel, 63 of Rockford, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 8, 2007 in her home. Born December, 4, 1943 in Ladysmith, WI, the daughter of Kenneth W. and Norma (Cox) Darling. She graduated from Elk Mound High School in 1962. Married her loving husband Dr. David F. Sorrel on August 25, 1962 in Eau Claire, WI. Peg was a self employed, talented seamstress here in Rockford and had worked for Opdykes in Streator, IL, Chudiks in Milwaukee, WI and Bremers in Iowa City before moving to the area. She is a member of First Church of the Nazarene and served as District Missionary President for Wisconsin and North Western Illinois Districts. Peg truly loved the Lord, her husband, children and family. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Dr. David F. Sorrel of Rockford, children, John (Karen) Sorrel of Muskego, WI, James (Tammy) Sorrel of Milwaukee, WI, Elizabeth Anne (Shawn) Collis of Riner, VA., Peter Sorrel of Apopka, FL; grandchildren, Chrystal, Richard , Austin, Morgan, Lauren Sorrel, Jacob and Margaret Collis; Mother, Norma Darling of Augusta, WI; brothers, Terry J. (Vicky) Darling, Michael G. (Jenny) Darling and Mark R. (Rhonda) Darling; sisters, Julie K. Caulfield, Jane M. (David) Carter and Betty Jo(Charles) Frey and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth W. Darling. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 11 a.m. at The First Church of the Nazarene, 4503 Charles Rd., Rockford, IL 61108 with Dr. Crawford Howe officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12 from 5-8 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. and will continue on Wed. at church from 10-10:45 a.m. Burial will be held Thursday, June 14 in Eau Claire, WI at Lakeview Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
