Marilyn Hill

January 11, 1951 — September 28, 2023

We are devastated to tell of the passing of our lovely sister, Marilyn Hill, who left us on September 28th. Throughout the day she was visited by family who shared their innermost thoughts with her. Marilyn left the shackles of planet earth to help create a brighter skyline with her brilliant star.

Marilyn worked as an account supervisor at the Water Department of Rockford, a job she cherished until she retired. She was a union steward and always advocated for her fellow employees. Marilyn was generous, kind, empathetic, and possessed a unique sense of humor. Laughter, and happiness followed in her footsteps. Marilyn didn’t laugh as much as she evoked laughter. Her generosity of spirit and financial help was unparalleled as she came to anyone’s aid in their time of need. Everyone has a story to tell, and Marilyn is no exception. Her story is simply told by her profound love of God, family, and country. She lived her values. She will be remembered as the best aunt ever, a compassionate sister, who demonstrated unconditional love towards her siblings, a dutiful, beneficent daughter, a caring wife, and a loyal friend. Anyone fortunate enough to have Marilyn in their world, was indeed the luckiest of individuals. Carry on, Marilyn—for you are now one with the universe, surrounding us with spectacular, memories and love. Godspeed on your journey to eternal life. You are most deserving of everything good that awaits you in the afterlife.
