Marjorie A. (Flannery) Bennett, 94, formerly of Rockford, IL died Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Sutton Hill Health Center in North Andover.Born in Rockford, daughter of the late Martin Flannery and Ida (Gatti) (Flannery) Germano, she graduated Rockford High School and received her degree in education from Illinois State Teachers College for Women.Mrs. Bennett was an elementary school teacher first in the Rockford School system and later for many years at Saint James Elementary School until her retirement in 1985.A resident of Rockford for most of her life, Mrs. Bennett was a member of Saint James Parish of Rockford, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, and was also a member of the Verdi Club. She was devoted to her loving family and many close friends.The widow of Rollo Bennett, she is survived by a daughter Kathryn Ondo of Orlando, FL, and a daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Dr. Abol "Firouz" Tehrani of Atkinson, NH, a brother and sister-in-law, John and Angie Germano of Rockford, grandchildren, John Tehrani, Cyrus Tehrani, Tony Frazzini and John Frazzini, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2009 in St. James Catholic Church with Rev. David E. Beauvais officiating. Burial in St. Mary/St. James Cemetery. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at the church on Saturday. Arrangements were completed by Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
