Mark Andrew Tongue

Mark Andrew Tongue Loving son, father, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend   Mark Andrew Tongue, 34, of Roscoe, went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2009. Mark was born July 19, 1974 in Rockford, the son of Michael R. Tongue and Linda A. (Cox) Engelkens.   Mark graduated from East High School in 1992 and was currently attending Rock Valley College.  He was working as a machinist at Beloit Regal for the past three years and formerly worked at Camcar/Textron for many years.  Mark was a member of Heartland Community Church and a  volunteer with Rockford Sharefest involving the renovation of East High School.  He lived his life for his son, Mathew, was very family oriented, and was a fully devoted follower of Christ.  Mark loved fishing and was an avid Chicago Bears, White Sox, and Bulls fan.   Mark is survived by his mother, Linda (Dale) Engelkens; father, Michael R. (Tammy) Tongue; son, Mathew J. Tongue; the Love of his Life, Deanne Di Giovanni and her children, Erin, Sarah, and Chris; brother, Michael F. (Carrie) Tongue and their son, Dominic; sister, Tiffani (Zach) Blackwell; Grandmother, Garland Tongue; step-grandmother, Jane Fulton; step-brothers, Heath (Diane) Engelkens, and Dale Engelkens, Jr.; step-sisters, Dianna (Tim) Anderson, Sherry (Kent) Coffman, LeOra Bennett, and Dawn (Bill) Schumaker, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many close friends. A special thank you to all of Marks friends and co-workers at Beloit Regal.  Mark was predeceased by his grandparents, Henry U. Tongue, Morris F. Cox, and Alvera (Salerno) Gillham and his uncle Gary F. Tongue.   A celebration of Marks life will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Heartland Community Church, 1280 S. Alpine Rd. with Pastor Gordy Smith officiating.  Burial will be private.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 from 5 8 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
