Mary Jane Coletta

Mary Jane Coletta departed this life on Monday, April 9, 2012, after a long illness.

She was born the daughter of Edward J. and Hazel M. (Cornell) Leber on June 22, 1935 at St. Anthony Hospital, Rockford, IL.nbsp; She attended St. James School and graduated from Muldoon High School in 1953.nbsp;nbsp; She worked in the Purchasing Department of BarberColman until she married Albert M. Coletta on October 11, 1954.nbsp; They were married for 57 years.nbsp; They lived in Arizona while Albert was in the Army.nbsp; Mary Jane was active in volunteer work at Swedish American Hospital for many years and also did sewing for W.A.V.E.nbsp; She liked to read, sew, knit and was an avid bridge player, belonging to several groups.

She is survived by her husband, Albert and four children, Judith Allard of Rockford, Michael Coletta of Lake Forest, CA, and Mark E.nbsp; Coletta and Matthew Coletta of Rockford.nbsp; There are three surviving grandchildren, Alicia, Albert, and Alex.nbsp; Predeceased by her parents, brothers Edward R. and Roger M. Leber, grandson Joey, and daughterinlaw Mary M. (Scherbinski) Coletta.

Services will be private.nbsp; A memorial of her life will be held at a later date.nbsp; The family requests no flowers.nbsp; Memorials in Mary Janes name may be made to the Rockford Poor Clares.
