Mary M. Cutler

Mary M. Cutler Loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.  Mary M. Cutler, 77, of Rockford, went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2008 in Swedish American Hospital.  Mary was born June 18, 1931 in Moark, Arkansas, the daughter of Fred and Ruby (Hampton) Lafferty and came to Rockford at the age of 15.   Mary worked hard most of her life, raising her son and daughter, and was a great salesperson, having started her own successful business, Lindale Homes, which she owned and operated for over 20 years.   Mary was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Everything she did was for her family a real mama bear.  She was always a rock to lean on.  Unfortunately, sometimes the mind is willing to go on, but the body isnt.  After several years of ill health, God decided to let her rest.  I thank Him for everyday she was here and will keep thanking Him for giving me such a wonderful mother.   Mary is survived by her daughter, Linda (Frank) Rutledge; grandchildren, Sam and Sarah Rutledge; sisters, Lori (Orville) Henrey and Anna Pauline Bale (Mike Avila nephews Barry (Mary Beth) Bale and Wayne (June) Linley and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.  Mary was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Ruby Lafferty; her husband, Glenn Cutler; her ex-husband, Vadis Brown; her son, Dale Brown and her nephew, Gary Bale.   A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 from 10 A.M. 11 A.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave.  Family and friends will process from the funeral home to Greenwood Cemetery for a Christian Burial Service with Pastor Jerry DeMond of Halsted Road Baptist Church officiating.  Family and friends may
