Maureen Dixon

Maureen Dixon, 71, of Rockford passed away on June 30, 2008 in her home. Born February 8, 1937, the daughter of James Michael and Esther (Erb) Dixon. Maureen was formerly a nun and spent time teaching in Chicago. She was also a teacher at St. Bridget School and a substitute teacher in the public school system. She retired in 2001.   Maureen is survived by her brother John Dixon, sister Helen (John) Stuffler, sister Mary Dixon, brother Bill Dixon, sister Patricia Earnhart, brother James Dixon, brother Edwin (Juanita) Dixon, 8 nieces and nephews and 7 grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She is predeceased by her mother and father.   Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bridget Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass Saturday in the church. Inurnment to follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. To
