Maureen Driscoll Anderson, 75, lifelong Rockford resident, died Wednesday afternoon, November 2, 2011 in Rockford Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born November 30, 1935, daughter of Phillip and Frances McLee Driscoll. Graduated from Muldoon High School in 1953 and attended Northern Illinois University. Married Braden G. Anderson in Rockford on August 26, 1961.She was the quintessential devoted wife and mother, always there to wipe a tear or bring out a smile. She had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and everyone loved to hear her laugh. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing bridge and 500. She had played in a 500 Club with the same group of friends for over 47 years. She loved taking vacations at Green Lake and chatting on the phone. Maureen was a woman with very deep faith, an angel and a saint to all who knew her. She will be missed greatly.Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Anderson, Shelly (Mike) Greenlee and their daughters, Megan, Britlyn and Jaden; Kathy (Tim) Naill and their children Braden, Cole and Lauren, Bridget (Mike) Lane and their sons, Wyatt and Fletcher; brother, Phil Driscoll; brotherinlaw, Clayton (Barbara) Anderson; sisterinlaw, Terese Driscoll and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Brad on June 12, 2009 and her brother, Jack Driscoll.A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, November 7, 2011 in Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Jospeh P.Naill officiating. Visitation from 10 a.m. until time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 55 West Wacker Drive, Suite 800 Chicago, IL 60601
