Maxine D. Rush

Maxine D. Rush, 91, of Rockford, IL, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019.

Maxine was born in Buena Vista County, IA on February 8, 1928, daughter of Jacob and Kathrine (Wick) Saylor. She married Richard Rush on February 10, 1948 in Rockford, IL. He passed away in 2002. Maxine was a devoted member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Rockford for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially grandchildren. Maxine was an avid reader, wonderful baker and a lover of animals. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving relatives include three sons, Michael, Thomas and Daniel (Hildy) Rush; grandchildren, Lesley, Laura, Amy, Kelly, Johnny, Jake, Mike, Megan, Anna, Elizabeth and Jason; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Ardella (Harold) Richards; son-in-law, John Massoth and daughter-in-law, Betty Rush. She is predeceased by her husband; children, Michelle Massoth and John Rush; numerous siblings.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2505 School St. Rockford, IL 61101. Burial will conclude at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago, IL.
